Last week went as fast as it could have. With Sahej going to school on Saturdays as well for the time being, there has been no time to rest. Its just plain waking up at 6.30 in the morning, getting Sahej redy for school(no mean task), dropping him at the bus stop, taking a quick nap(which Jovita does not take and always teases me about), getting ready for office, working in office, going back home and getting ready for the next morning. It was a tire some week.
Sahej sometimes wakes up himself in the morning for school. Sometimes he has to be dragged from the bed. He is now-a-days playing with my ming phone(which he had broken). So he has the alarm set to 6.30 in the morning and when it rings, he sometimes stops it and then gets ready himself. Sometimes its very difficult for us to get him ready as he is no mood to wake up. Its these days that he is the toughest and it takes a lot of persuation to take him to bathroom and then to get his teethes brushed. Other days, he is so sweet to do his chores himself and go to school smiling.
As I told earlier, he is now-a-days playing with my ming touch screen phone. He was always trying to get hold of Jovita's new phone so that he can play with him. When we tried to stop him, he used to say "main kya karu, mujhe koi mobile nahi le ke deta :("(what should I do, nobody buys me a mobile phone). So then I decided that till the time, I dont get my ming phone repaired, he can use it. I even had some games installed on it for him to play. But now that he has it and is bored with it, he still asks for Jovita's phone. When asked why he wants mummy's phone when he has his, he replies "usmein miss call nahin hoti, to mujhe mummy ka phone chahiye"(that phone does not allow me to call, so I need mummy's phone". Such is life.
The other day, when the charging of this phone died, he asked his nanny to get it charged. She was busy and told him that she'll do it in a moment. Not of the waiting kind, he himself put the charger on. On knowing this, nanny told him not to do so again. Upon facing a situation in which this could be reported back to me, Sahej sir told nanny that "papa ko mat batana"(dont tell this to papa). But nanny finally told me and I gave Sahej a class. When the class was finished, he confronted his nanny "maine bola tha papa ko mat batana, phit kyon bataya"(i told you to not tell papa about this, why did you told him then).
So life goes on. This week Sahej has only five days to go. Saturday is off. So we can look forward to it. On sundays, we go to gurudwara saahib in Secunderabad in the morning. There is a person selling CD's just outside gurudwara. I had bought Sahej some CD's from there. So now he starts demanding CD's every time we go there. He has started saying "papa, yeh gurudwara to bahut achha hai, yahan roz aaya karo"(papa this gurudwara is very good, we should come here every day". I know the reason behind his liking for the place. On sundays, normally he doesnot sleep in the afternoon, so goes to sleep early in the night. But this sunday, we had some guests coming over for dinner. Their son Agam was expected and Sahej was excited to meet him. When he came to know that he is coming, I asked him to help mein getting the house in order, and he started doing it. He picked up a waste cloth and started dusting the things, he himself sorted his toys and put them in right place, he kept all his shoes in the closet and even got himself ready for the meeting. When they were slighly delayed, he kept asking "aaye nahin abhi, dekh ke aaye"(why haven't they reached yet, lets go and see them). When they eventually came, Sahej played with and hosted Agam really well. But due to this, he slept very late. And due to this when it was time to get ready for school today, he was not willing to get up and go to school. No persuation was working today. He was crying non-stop. It took a lot of time to get him ready eventually. His bus was already gone, so we had to take him to another stop for him to take his bus. But he was still crying and not ready to go to school. Probably we could have allowed him a rest today, but then thought that if we did it once, he will start using this as an excuse and then will demand more leaves. Little harsh on our end, but there was no other way, at least we thought so....
Chalo will talk again later about his adventures during the week.
Bye,
