2nd Term Results

Last weekend was Sahej's 2nd term result. We went to school to collect the results and also meet the teacher to know the progress of Sahej in School.

The result was not out of the Blue. Sahej got Excellent in most of the things. His work sheets were mostly with Excellent and Good remarks and with full marks in most of them. So no surprises there, His teacher commented that he is pretty smart in studies. The only complaint that she had was that he is very naughty. And she loves naughty kids as they are smart as well. So Sahej full points there. She told us that when ever Sahej is creating ruckus in class, she tells him that is a Disciplinary Secretary and that he has to manage the class. In this way she is able to control the class as well as Sahej. Hmmmm....

Sahej also won a couple of certificates in 2 of the competitions.

Then Sahej got himself some books from the stall the School had. He is very fond of books and sometimes, when he is in mood, he can finish a complete book in one sitting.

After that we had to go and get Sahej a Joker dress. Sahej is participating in a Western Dance in the annual function of the School. He is playing a part of Joker in the song. So we are supposed to arrange for the dress. And off we went in search for the dress. We searched Kukkatpally and finally got hold of the Dress.

That day, Sahej was about to sleep. And as always before he is going to sleep he starts talking about any things that he can think of. He asked me the other day "Papa yeh eyebrows kyon hoti hai" (Why do we have the eyebrows). Now how do you answer that and I also gave him an answer that came to my mind. I said we have eyebrows to make us look beautiful. And then he asked "Beautiful kyon lagna chahiye" (Why do we need to look beautiful) Hmmm....Try to answer that if you can.

That day when Jovita was asking Sahej about his friends, the topic came to Vami finally. Sahej told that Vani is not speaking to him and they both have had quarrel. When Jovita asked what happend, he replied "Woh Shaadi karni thi na, so ab kati ho gayee hai. Woh class work dheere dheere karti hai, maine usko bola fast finish kar le taaki hum bahar play kar sake. Sand hai, swing hai. Par woh slow karti hai. And now boli ki uske paper theek nahin hote meri wazah se, to isliye usne kati kar di hai. Kayee baar to main uska class work finish karta hu" (Vani does her work very slowly and I complete my work fast. I ask her to finish the work fast so that we can play with Sand or swings. But she does not do it. And she told me that her papers were also not good because of me. So now she is not talking to me. Sometimes, I help her and complete her work). Hmmm

And on the PTM day, Jovita was very curious to see who Vani is actually. When she saw her, she had a very funny expression on her face. She kept on checking if Vani actually talks to Sahej. For the better part of the time, she was not talking to Sahej. Only when they both were alone on merry-go-around, did she started speaking and laughing with Sahej. May be they have made up and no break-up is in-sight now. :)

Race, Masti and much more

Last few days have just passed by so fast that its difficult to recall what all Sahej was upto.

14th Nov was Jovita's happy birthday and more than Jovita, Sahej was more excited about it. The cake that we bought for her, was supposed to be cut by her at 12 midnight. But Sahej sensing that he is getting sleepy and might be asleep before that, urged us or rather forced us to cut the cake way before midnight. He had been promising his mumma that he will be giving him a gift. So I bought a small present so that he can give the same to Jovita. When I gave him the present to give the same to her mumma, he started questing me that where is his present. "Mera gift kahan hai...cake maine bhi to kata hai" (Where is my gift...I have also cut the cake). Hmmm....and I thought he was supposed to give her the present and not the other way around. In the end, he had his way and was last seen taking that very present and keeping that along with his toys.

The very next day, Sahej participated in the race organised by Jain School as part of the Children Days celebration. He was to run along with other kids to be part of the race. But somehow the school mismanaged the event and when Sahej turn came to run, he was made to stand in the third row and then told to run along with 50 other kids. No wonder he did not came anywhere in the top 3 kids, but he was sporting enough to finish the race and then promptly declare that he has indeed come 2nd. Never mind Sahej, there will be many races which you will be taking part in and winning them. He was very much supported there in his race by me, Jovita and both the Dada-Dadi. He was having a blast there as can be seen in the photos. And then to his excitement, he was also given a participation certificate. Well done Sahej...

At the dinner party of Jovita's birthday, Sahej had a blast. He was seen creating a lot of ruckus there for us and also not listening to our requests to sit at one place. Never mind. He is a kid amd he has every right to do these things once in a while. So Sahej please carry on. Show us that you are a kid as well.

And an interesting little dialog session happened between Jovita and Sahej on her birthday, When she was telling him that she got so many wishes on her birthday and so many people called her to wish her, he simply asked "Aapko Amitabh Bachhan ne phone kia hai kya" (Has Amitabh Bachhan called you) Hmmmm...now please anser to this. And then Sahej was asking Jovita that when did she come from babaji's house. When Jovita told her that she came on Childrens day, he simply said "Aapko Christmas pe aana tha na, kyonki tab itni holidays hoti hai" (You should have come on Christmas because at that time so many holidays are there). Hmmmmmm
