3 Letter words

Hello

This week Sahej started learning 3 letter words like HAT, CAT etc. This involves learning how to speak 3 letter words by joining their sounds. He is facing some difficulty in it, but am sure he will cope with it.

This week was like a mini holiday for Sahej. Firstly monday he didn't go to school as he was in resort. Then Wednesday and Thursday was declared a bandh and the school was closed. So just a 2 day school this last week.

On Saturday, we were expecting Lali mamaji from Chandigarh. He was coming for Dinner. Hearing this Sahej helpmed in cleaning his room, setting his toys at a proper place. He also completed his half of the home work in the anticipation of meeting them.

That day Sahej was in his quirky mood. When asked by Jovita to write A-Z, thats what he actually wrote on the note book. He wrote A, then followed by a hash and then Z. And then asked Jovita, if it was fine. When she told him specifically to write A to Z, he simply over wrote dash with 2 and then gave the notebook back. Hmmmmmm. How do we cope with these super smart kids.....

Yesterday, Sahej and we went to market. He got his new transformer toy car from Mc Donalds. He now has 3 of the four cars in the series and will have the 4th one soon.

Country Resort

Hello

This weekend we went to Country Resort for a fun filled weekend.

The resort is around 80 kms from Hyderabad. All of us including Sahej was pretty excited going there.

As we reached there, we were filled with joy to see the swimming pool, the small yet comfortable rooms and the whole setup of the resort. Sahej was pretty excited on seeing the swans and the quils that were present there. He tried to get friendly with them. All was well in the start, but when the swans tried to be more friendly than what Sahej was expecting, that was when Sahej started running and swans chased him and he ran harder and swans chased harder and whole thing was fun for a time being until Sahej started crying and then we had to bring in the curator to move the swans away.

Sahej was having a pretty good time there as he was having a complete TV to himself and can watch POGO or Cartoon TV to himself. Also he was happy to have so much to play with. We had taken his Cricket bat, balls, football with us so that he can play there.

In the evening, we went to pool. Sahej was apprehensive about going inside first, but once he went inside and got used to water, he was unstoppable. The pool was divided into 2 portions and they had a smaller, less deep section for kids. There Sahej was having a time of his life. He was enjoying himself, posing for snaps and movie, playing with a ball, and trying to emulate what Jovita was trying to do i.e. swimming. He was difficult to be removed from water. In the end it took both of us to remove him from water and take him to the refuge of our room.

the first day Sahej was not eating much. He only ate the papads that were present in the lunch and dinner. So the next day, we made up our mind to ask the vendor there to get the Poori's ready for him. And surely they obliged by getting him Poori. He ate that very happily.

The next day, me and Sahej played a lot. At that time Jovita had gone for the massage. Me and Sahej started playing cricket first. he used to run and get the balls and then pose for snaps and play again. Then we played football. In the afternoon, we again went for pool. And this time Sahej got to wear the yellow life jacket. He was looking so cute in that jacket. And once again, he enjoyed his time in the pool. He was just unstoppable in pool and was never ready to come out.

The next day, we were to come back. I asked Sahej if he wanted to go to pool for the last time. And his reply was "Papa hum na next time aayenge to main pool mein jayunga. Aisa karte hai Satturday ko aa jate hai, nahin frid , nahin Thursday ko aa jate hai. Theek hai?"(Papa, i will go to pool the next time we come here. We can come here on Saturday, or friday or Thursday. right?) Haan beta, aapke papa ne resort buy kar lia hai. Aap kabhi bhi aa sakte ho. And after that he went around telling everyone that he will be coming back on Thursday.

This week his friend Agam also came back from chandigarh and sahej was excited to start playing with him again. When agam came to play with him, after a few minutes Sahej asked me if he could go to his house to play. When I asked why, he replied "Woh uski mummy chd se aayee hai na to mujhe usko milne jaana hai" (As his mummy has come from chd, I need to go and see her). Hmmm. So much for socializing.

The last week passed by in a very hectic mode.

Sahej is getting smarter day by day. Last week when he came to know that my bday is coming, he told me 'Papa aapko main bada sa gist le ke doongs. Ek bahut big Dolly. OK" (Papa, I will give you a big bday gift, a big Dolly). Sweet na :)

Yesterday when I was scolding him for fidling with the CD plug without his sleepers and threatened him that next time he does the same thing, the CD plug will tell me, you know what he replied me "CD Plug ka mouth nahin hota, woh aapko nahin batayega"(CD Plug does not have a mouth, it wont tell you).

Last night when Jovita asked him about whether he will like to cut the cake at midnight or will he like to cut it in the morning, he replied "Mumma yeh achha idea hai, hum morning mein katenge cake"(Mom, this is a good idea, we will cut it in the morning)

Happy New Year 2010

Hello

Last couple of weeks went by without much of a fuss and notice. Sahej started his winter vacations from 24th. On 23rd he had a party in his school. he was to be sent in colored clothes with a snack from home. He went to school, had fun and came back home and started his holidays. Same started for me n munna a day later. While Munna was having official off from Dec 25th to Jan 3rd, I took a leave from office for 4 days to enjoy my time home and relax.

These holidays started with we going for a lunch on Friday on Christmas. After that we came home and relaxed and watched CD's and TV non-stop. Sahej was having a ball as he was free to do what ever he wanted. On Christmas, he got his first play station, a brand new PS2 with Hanuman as a free game. He was so happy to get the new game console that he was ready to be at home alone to play it rather than go to market. On monday, we went to Shilparamam to allow munna to do some sight seeing. There also Sahej passed his time by having his photos clicked in various poses, playing ganes, running after swans, touching rabbits and also getting items from shops. On tuesday, me n Jovita went ro watch Avatar and came back home with a 4 CD pack of animated Hanuman movies. Sahej's excitement knew no bounds and since that day, he can be seen with that pack in one of his hands and has only watched these CD's from that day.

One exciting thing that happened in these vacations was that Sahej started eating chicken. Earlier, he used to "chicken out" before eating it and said that he didnot liked it. But while watching "Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani" on TV, when we remarked that Ranbir has started eating chicken only for Katrina and thus will be able to win her, he was so motivated that he ate almost half of what Munna was eating. Now we just have to refer Ranbir and Katrina and he is game for chicken. Now thats what is called doing anything for Love :)

one of these days when we were out and Sahej was home watching London Dreams, when we tried to start again and asked Sahej to not watch the first part as he had already done that, his reply was "nahin mujhe dekhni hai, as main bhul gaya hu ki first part mein kya tha" ( I have to watch as I have forgot what was in the first part).

He had a lot of fun these holidays. he is getting so smart and witty that almost all his answers bring smiles to our faces.
