Diwali

Hello
This weekend it was Diwali time. Sahej and Munna were having a day off on Friday. So they both had a blast on this day. They went to Hyper City for shopping and there Sahej played video games. On Diwali, Sahejw as given a remote car of red color as his gift.
We went to market in the afternoon. Then we went to gurudwara saahib in the evening. There Sahej lit up candles for babaji. He was enjoying his diwali till that moment. When we started coming back, people had already started bursting crackers on road. And there were some heavy bombs being burnt as well. Sahej got so scared that he started crying. We had to rush from there so that he can stop crying. On the way, we bought some crackers for Sahej as well-some fulljhadies and pencils. On the way back, we kept making his mind to try crackers along with agam, his friend. On reaching home, he called agam to come and do the cracker this together. Till that moment Sahej was repeating "mujhe crackers se darr nahin lagta"(I am not afraid of crackers). But the moment, I burnt the first phuljhady, both Sahej and agam were scared and started running. Eventually Sahej made up his mind and started enjoying his crackers.

Maharaj/Narakasur

Hello
Last week as part of Diwali celebrations, Sahej was going to act in a skit in which he was going to portray the role of Narakasur. The Daemon who was killed by some lady. Sahej was to be dressed like a king and was to be sent to school with full attire and makeup. We got the dress on rent for him. On the D_Day, Sahej woke up and got ready. Munna did the makeup and Sahej was ready as a narakasur. However, we didnt tell him that he was going to act a s a Daemon, so as not to drop his enthusiasm. I told him he was going to be a Maharaj. When he asked who is that, I told him Maharaj of Dholakpur, from his favorite cartoon serial "Chhota Bheem", listening to which Sahej was very happy and excited.

So Sahej went to school dressed as a king. He looked every bit a royal. Dress matched and suited his personality very well.

When he came back, he had a star on both his hands. Also a note of appreciation from his teacher. He must have acted very well as an asur.

Holiday Time

Hello
Long time and no post. That was due to the reason that we were on a family holiday. We had been planning for a long time to go back to North to visit the relatives there and were hoping to go some where around diwali. But fate had other plans. While still planning for the dates, I wanted to see when is Sahej having his holidays. And when we checked, we found that he was having his vacations around Dushera and not Diwali, and to compound it, he will be having his mid term exams around Diwali. So every plan was shelved and we started looking for the reservations. And to our good fortunes, we did get a reservation in Rajdhani around the same time as we were looking for. So we were all set to go in a span of a couple of days.
The day we started the journey, 16th Sept, Sahej was all excited. He loves train journeys. And what else could he have asked for. There were 2 twins of exactly the same age as of Sahej travelling along on the adjoining seats. So his fun began. The three kids were having a time of their lives. Pushing the cabin door open and close, jumping on the seats, doing tarzan stuff, eating, shouting, and having a blast, they completed the journey and reached Delhi. From there we were to board a Shatabdi train to Jalandhar, from where we made our way to Hoshiarpur. There he had a rocking time with his cousins Hargun and Prabhgun and was never tired to play. Only the last day there on the sunday, they had a fight and Sahej cried. Otherwise he was too happy to leave that place. He also went to Darbar Sahib and payed his homage there, had a bath in the holy water and enjoyed his time.
Then we came to Yamuna Nagar to his Dadu's place. Sahej was the only kid there, but still enjoyed his time. We used to take the scooter in the evenings to the market and Sahej used to stand in front of it. He even started calling his mummy "Golgappa", because Jovita was completing her quota of golgappas by going and eating every time she had the oppurtunity.
Then we went for a couple of days to Chandigarh, where Sahej got his first brush at video game gazettes. his cousin Anmol, was having all the gizmos you can think of and Sahej started loving his cousin and more so his gizmos. He even took one of his nintendo gaming console along with him to the various places we were to go along the day.
And due to this only, we bought him his first video game. Also we bought him a PSP look-alike console from Mitashi, but we havent given him yet and are waiting for the right time.
On the way back to Hyderabad, Sahej was lucky enough to have found a children corner on the new terminal in Delhi. He passed his time well there and enjoyed his flight back.
The trip brought one thing very clear from his nature to the front. He hates dirty bathrooms and wont go for a Shit if he doesnt like the bathroom. When he went to Rupa massi's house, there he liked there bathroom so much that he went there and sat there for a good 20 minutes and then when he came back, he gave them a certification "aapka bathroom achha hai"
So back to hyderabad and back to old routine. His schools were to open on 1st oct, but the vacation has been extended by another couple of days and now will open on 5th.
Lets see how he settles back into his old school going routine...
